Don Draper can’t be shallow

In the 2nd half of the final season of Mad Men, we find Don Draper back to his womanizing ways (with the help of The newly-moustachioud Roger Sterling). But truly, that is not what Draper is about. Don Draper longs for a woman of substance. Unfortunately, the only women who could have made him happy we’re like Rachel Menken and had too much integrity and self respect to be with him. In a way, Draper is the ultimate post-modern man. He desires a relationship with a woman who is his equal. Unfortunately, he ends up with women who are essentially children. I’m excited to see where Don’s storyline ends.
